All services have been fully restored in DC39. We are continuing closely monitoring both power feeds, as well as communicating with Equinix TY8 datacenter regarding this issue. We have redundant power at all our locations, and a situation where a datacenter loses both - primary and redundant power is unacceptable and is exceedingly rare. We will be working with Equinix TY8 datacenter to learn more about the root cause of this unfortunate event, as well as what steps they are taking to prevent it from happening again.

Identified -
Equinix TY8 confirmed the electrical issue affecting the TY8 datacenter. Primary and Secondary (Redundant) circuits are affected.

Investigating -
We have observed loss of connectivity with our Tokyo DC39 location. Upon initial investigation, it appears that Equinix TY8 datacenter lost power to some of the racks (both, Primary and Redundant power feeds have been affected). We are getting in touch with Equinix TY8 for more updates.
